Polkadoodle Challenge - Something New or Anything Goes

There is a new challenge over at Polkadoodles and the theme as always is:

Anything Goes

However, the DT were challenged to go with 'Something New'.  My something new was this rather fantastic new digi in the store - Scratch It - Old Bag which I've coloured with Promarkers.  The image was printed directly onto the cardstock along with the sentiment and I've added a die cut banner plus half pearls to finish it off.

There are more images like this in the store!  Good luck with the challenge!

I've used Snowman Hugs - From The Heart Stamps and coloured it with Promarkers and glitter glue.  The fancy snowflakes are a Memory Box die and added an organza and satin ribbon bow.  Sentiment has been printed onto a Sizzix die cut and the snowflake charm is from my stash.

I've added glitter round the edges.  Good luck with the challenge!

Tea

A quick little share of a pillow box I made for a tea lover using Tea and Bickies Backing papers from Dr Digi - and the best bit - the set of papers will cost less than the price of a cuppa!

The pillow box template is my own (I'm amazed each time I use it that I manage to score in the right place and it all snaps together!)  Button and bakers twine from my stash.

I've gone for a golden oldie this week - all the way back to Paper Boutique 2 - Creative Christmas.  Simply printed all the elements, cut them out and layered up with foam pads.  Great for something to do whilst watching Christmas films!

I've gone for quick and easy and I found a die cut pack in my stash - Pepper's Christmas Party which is a rather cute die cut decoupage pack.  I've layered the background onto some blue card from my stash and then onto the card blank and the satin and organza ribbons are from my stash along with the wooden snowflake (Sainsbury's parcel decor!)

It's getting closer! I've made a card for a work colleague to give to her husband who is a fanatic Manchester City supporter hence why Santa has a blue shirt!  I've used Selfie Santa from Dr Digi, coloured with Promarkers and added to a star shaped card base - my own template.

The banner is a Sizzix die cut which I've hand written and the footballs I found as free images on the internet.

Bugaboo Holiday Chaos 2016 - Day 7

Yeh! I've made it! Day 7 of the Bugaboo Holiday Chaos challenge!  The theme for the final day is to follow a bingo board.  I've gone for the vertical line of Glitter / Bling, Snowflakes and Non Traditional Holiday Colours.

I used this image - Snowflake Reindeer Silhouette earlier in the week but I'd printed two onto the card stock just in case I made a mistake with one.  And because I like the image so much, it was easy enough to use for this challenge!

I bought some glitter stickers from Lidl, not realising they were for windows (doh) but they are so pretty and sparkly that I decided to add them to a sheet of acetate I found in my stash which layered over the front of a card blank.

Ribbon and half pearls from my stash.

To be honest, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to do all 7 days of the challenge - half of the photos I've had to take under the kitchen lights as I don't see daylight and I have a long commute each day which means I'm shattered when I get home - up at 5am and home for around 7pm plus everything else that goes on in a busy house!

However, I have done it and I'm pleased that I have!

Bugaboo Holiday Chaos 2016 - Day 6

Morning! Day 6 coming up of the Bugaboo Holiday Chaos challenge.  The theme Flashback Holiday  - to use an old image and equally old papers from your stash.

I've search back through all my digis and this is probably one of the oldest ones I have from Bugaboo - AKV Winter Ski which I've coloured with Promarkers and then added with 3 layers of foam pads (so it does look like he's doing a huge ski jump!)

The papers are a combination of some I found in my stash (the dots are glittered - just does not show up on the photo) which I roughly tore plus off cuts from the card blank.  I found some cloud die cuts (Memory Box) in my stash too and added them.

Polkadoodle Challenge - Blue Christmas or Anything Goes

We are half way through the current Polkadoodle challenge and the theme is

Anything Goes

The DT were challenge to a Blue Christmas theme.  I've made a cute little card for a special little boy - Winston Bear was perfect, coloured with Promarkers and layered onto papers from the Winston Deluxe CD.  Various snowflake die cuts and ribbon from my stash and the card is complete!

I've also added a handwritten sentiment and some half pearls from my stash.

Good luck with the challenge and for more inspiration, pop over to the blog!

Bugaboo Holiday Chaos 2016 - Day 5

Day 5 of the Bugaboo Holiday Chaos challenge!  The challenge was to make a funny card.  I've used the Make It Snappy - Friends digi, coloured with Promarkers and watercolour pencils.

The star shaped card base is from one of my own templates and I've added a silver wooden snowflake and an off cut from a Christmas tree garland.

Fairly quick and easy!

Bugaboo Holiday Chaos 2016 - Day 4

And here is day 4 of the Bugaboo Christmas Holiday Chaos challenge!  The theme to follow is Clean as Snow and no Designer Paper so I've found this stylish image - Snowflake Reindeer Silhoutte.  I've printed it onto white linen effect cardstock and then cut round it and layered it onto the background with foam pads for depth.

The background die is Memory Box and I've added glitter glue around the main panel and the landscape.  Half pearls and ribbons from my stash.

Bugaboo Holiday Chaos 2016 - Day 3

Day 3 of the Bugaboo Christmas Chaos challenge!  Today it is to make a gift tag with red and white stripes.  I've gone for this Circle Sentiments - Ava Fairy Special, coloured it with Promarkers and a little splash of glitter glue.

I've used a Spellbinder die to cut the circle (I line it up on the laptop monitor with the image before I print it to make sure its the right size - it works for me!)

I don't know where the paper is from as I found it in my offcuts box.  I've added a faux running stitch around the edges.

Bugaboo Holiday Chaos 2016 - Day 1

I've challenged myself to enter all 7 days of the Bugaboo Holiday Chaos challenge.  Like I have the time or see daylight!!

Anyway, Day 1 was All That Sparkles, so here is my entry:

I've used Ruby Christmas Ornaments and coloured her with Promarkers.  I've glittered her glorious red hair with glitter glue and added it to the edges of the image.  The fancy frame is a Spellbinders and the silver wooden snowflake is one I found in my stash.  Ribbon is from Wilkos.

Blue Mini

Here is a cute shaker card I made especially for a little boy who loves his cars! It had to be coloured with blue Promarkers as his Daddy is a Man City supporter!  You can get the Mini Cooper image from Dr Digi for only £1.

I've used an X Cut die for the oval shape and also the stars.  The snowflake is a Marianne Creatables die.  Sizzix die cut tag has been handwritten and I've added organza blue ribbon from my stash.

And of course, liquid pearl dots around the edges!  I've used a combination of blue seed beads for the 'shaker' stuff and some fake glittery snow which I bought a large bag of a few years ago really cheap because I knew I'd use it one day!

Another Christmas card order ticked off my list. Brief was to use lots of glitter!  I've used Jingle Bell Birdbrain - From The Heart Stamps, coloured with Promarkers and glitter glue

I've layered it onto some shiny red card from my stash and a Spellbinder cut frame.  The tag is a Sizzix die cut and the ribbon is from my stash.

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 121 - Non Traditional Christmas

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme is

Non Traditional Christmas

Here is another unusual request for a Christmas card - a 12 year old boy who loves the Skylanders game.  So, I did a little research and found this image as a free colouring page.  It's been coloured with Promarkers and I hand wrote the Sizzix tag and added a punched snowflake.

The embossed pannel across the centre is a Cuttlebug one and I've used one of my new steel dies for the snowflake (total bargain from ebay seller in China and it cuts like a dream!)  Charm and embroidery thread are from my stash.

Needless to say, the receipents Mum was really pleased with it and knows her son will love it!
